The Mammut Barryvox S2 Transceiver is a compact, digital 3antenna avalanche beacon built for demanding backcountry riders who want maximum search performance with intuitive operation. Its 70m search strip width and powerful processor deliver rapid signal acquisition and clear direction and distance guidance, helping you get on top of a burial zone quickly in complex terrain. The Intelligent Fine Search Guidance, unique to Mammut, supports you through the crucial final metres of the search by coaching how to move and position the device for the strongest signal, reducing common cross-search mistakes and shaving precious seconds off rescue times. A bright, highresolution 2.3″ MIP display, acoustic search tones, and glovefriendly controls keep information clear and legible in low light, storm conditions, and while wearing polarised goggles. Pro users can unlock advanced functions such as analog search tones, Pro Check, and detailed pro search settings, letting experienced partners manage complex multiple burials and interference-heavy environments with finer control. The unit runs on two AAA batteries (alkaline or lithium), offers extended SEND time with lithium cells, and continuously selftests and monitors for signal interference so you can focus on decisionmaking rather than device status.
